Situated in the southwestern area of Taicang City, Chengxiang Town covers an area of 52.95 square kilometers. It governs 23 villages (communities), with a resident population of 165,200, a registered population of approximately 95,400, a temporary population of approximately 69,800, and 49,800 households. It has been consecutively awarded the titles of "National Top 1,000 Towns in Comprehensive Strength" and "National Civilized Town" for many years.
The Taicang Science and Technology Industrial Park in the jurisdiction is adjacent to Jiading and Kunshan. With the support of platforms such as the Taicang Park of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, we are accelerating the construction of an automotive equipment industry community and a smart equipment industry park, gradually forming leading industrial clusters such as advanced materials, smart equipment, and automotive parts.
